We
finally finished installing the "new" wood
heater and returning our living room to
normality;  and
we were very fortunate in having over a week
of still, dry, and (relatively) warm weather
to enable the mortar around the flue, at the
top of the chimney, to dry properly. Though
we have been advised to let it be for a
month, before we light the heater and test
it out; so it won't happen till we've got
back home again, in August.
Now, we're flying to Bangkok to joining an
Intrepid tour, going overland down to
Singapore over two weeks; followed by a week
on a small boat around Flores and Komodo, in
Indonesia.
Then - back to winter. But it will be at the
tail end of it.
